Principal's Corner

May 1, 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Wow! I cannot believe the year is almost over. I said it before and I will say it again, I am so Blessed to be here and I thank you for welcoming me with open arms these last few months. It has only been four months but I feel like I am a part of your family, which is now my family, for a lot longer. It is truly a wonderful feeling. So much has been accomplished and I am thankful to my faculty, staff, parents, families, students, parishioners and friends for all their support and dedication to St. Catherine’s. There is a lot of information this month so please ask any questions going forward if you need clarification. I will be handing out the Terranova testing materials by the end of the month after I review them. I know this is an important time for all of us as it gives us an idea where the children are academically and on a national level.

Also, we have our yearbooks that just came in and are for sale. They are beautiful! If you would like to see one, please visit us and you can purchase one through our FACTS link that was provided. Our STREAM camp is starting this summer and we are excited for the children as they will get to participate in many wonderful and new projects regarding science and math. The Archbold camp will also be available for 2 days, to students interested, who are currently in grades 6-7 at no cost to you.

The last day of school is May 31st and there will be summer work distributed by each homeroom teacher. As a reminder, please make sure you register for the upcoming school year. We have a wait list in 1st grade and a number of classes are almost full, such as second grade, fifth, and eighth. We will be announcing other waitlists by the end of May. We are excited about the growth of the school and have many new parents that have enrolled. We are fully accredited by The Florida Catholic Conference and the National Council for Private School Accreditation, as well as a member of the Chamber of Commerce and recently voted the Best Private School in Highlands County. I am very proud of our school and our level of excellence, and I look forward to more positive changes in the upcoming school year.

Have a Blessed, Happy, and Safe summer!!

Sincerely,

Nicole Loseto
