Mrs. Alexa Montanez serves as the Lead Resource Coordinator at St. Catherine Catholic School, where she brings compassion, dedication, and a deep understanding of student support services. She holds a Preschool Staff Credential and a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Management and Supervising, providing her with a strong foundation for both instructional support and collaborative leadership.
In her role, Mrs. Montanez works closely with the Board of Education and the ESOL department to support children with disabilities, ensuring that each student receives the accommodations and individualized attention they need to succeed. Her work focuses on advocating for students, guiding teachers, and helping families navigate the support systems that foster academic and personal growth.
With 11 years and 4 months of experience in education and resource coordination, she has held a variety of roles that shaped her commitment to nurturing the whole child. Her passion is rooted in a holistic approach to education: “Take the child by the hand and educate them as a whole person—mind, heart, and soul.” This philosophy guides her work with every student, reinforcing her belief in the dignity and potential of each child.
Outside of school, Mrs. Montanez enjoys relaxing at home after a busy day and cherishes the time she spends with her granddaughter, who keeps her active, joyful, and constantly learning.
Her guiding motto reflects her values and the heart of her work:
“Education cannot be neutral... it is either positive or negative.” — Pope Francis
