Steve Cullipher

Principal

Principal

Mr. Steven Cullipher serves as the Principal of St. Catherine Catholic School, bringing with him a unique blend of professional experience, leadership, and a genuine dedication to education and faith. Before entering the field of education, Mr. Cullipher spent much of his career in the entertainment lighting industry. In the early 1990s, he moved to New York City, where he worked as the lighting systems integrator for the launch of the cable television network MSNBC. Later, in the late 1990s, he relocated to Florida to serve in the same role during the construction of Universal’s CityWalk, contributing to one of the region’s most iconic entertainment destinations.

In 2014, motivated by a desire to spend more time with his family, Mr. Cullipher retired from the lighting industry and settled in Sebring. Drawn to working with children, he began tutoring in the public schools a few hours each week. This part‑time involvement soon grew into a full-time calling. He went on to serve as a substitute teacher, then an instructional paraprofessional, and ultimately a teacher—experiences that shaped his commitment to fostering strong learning communities.

Since relocating to Sebring, Mr. Cullipher has pursued extensive academic growth. He earned an Associate in Arts degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude; a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management; and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, equipping him with both the practical and academic foundation for effective school leadership.

Mr. Cullipher is also an active and faithful member of St. Catherine Parish, contributing his time and service to the church community. His dedication to education, family, and faith continues to guide his leadership at St. Catherine Catholic School, where he strives to cultivate a welcoming, supportive, and spiritually grounded environment for all students.
