Miss Filice

...has been part of St. Catherine Catholic School for five years and is now entering her sixth year teaching fourth grade. She loves being a teacher at St. Catherine, where the school community truly feels like a family.

Originally from Michigan, she moved to Sebring nearly seven years ago, happily trading in snow boots and ski jackets for flip flops and sunshine. Having lived in 22 different states, she values the diverse experiences that shaped her childhood. She is excited to now call Sebring home.

She is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a B.S. in Family Relations and Human Development. She also holds an Associate’s degree in Early Child Care from Montgomery College, along with a Child Care Certificate.

Some of her favorite pastimes include watching Buckeye football, visiting Disney, crafting, reading, spending time with family, and walking her dog, Foxi.

In the classroom, she strives to create an environment of family and community. Her students engage in critical thinking, character building, and fun, hands-on learning experiences—like transforming pop bottles or cereal boxes into creative book reports. She believes learning should be fun and is committed to making fourth grade a memorable and enriching experience for every child.
