Collette Filice
4th Grade Teacher

Ms. Collette Filice serves as the 4th Grade Teacher at St. Catherine Catholic School. In her classroom, she teaches reading, grammar, math, social studies, religion, and science, providing students with a well‑rounded and engaging learning experience. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Relations and Human Development as well as an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. In addition, she is certified to teach grades K–6.
With more than twenty years of teaching experience and over seven years as part of the Catholic education community at St. Catherine’s, Ms. Filice brings deep knowledge, enthusiasm, and a heartfelt commitment to her students. She truly believes she has the best job in the world. Her teaching philosophy centers on the understanding that children learn in different ways, and she considers it her responsibility to help each child discover how they learn best. She finds great joy in watching students succeed, especially when they master a concept they have worked hard to understand.
Ms. Filice is passionate about helping students strengthen their relationship with God and encourages them to recognize that they can serve Him, even as fourth graders. Her classroom fosters confidence, curiosity, and faith.
When she is not teaching, Ms. Filice enjoys cheering for the Ohio State Buckeye football team, reading, traveling, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family and her dog.
Her favorite guiding words come from St. Catherine: “Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire.”
