Timothy Saenz
6th Grade Teacher

Mr. Timothy Sáenz serves as the 6th Grade Homeroom Teacher at St. Catherine Catholic School, where he also teaches Middle School Science and Middle School Social Studies. In addition, he leads both the Bible Club and the Writing Club, giving students meaningful opportunities to grow spiritually and academically beyond the classroom.
Mr. Sáenz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education with concentrations in English and Secondary Education from Florida Atlantic University. He has also completed master’s‑level coursework in Popular Fiction Writing, Theology, and English. He is certified in Social Studies (6–12), English (6–12), and Middle School Science (5–9) in the state of Florida.
He teaches a comprehensive range of subjects, including 6th Grade General Science, 7th Grade Earth Science, 8th Grade Space Science, 7th Grade Geography, Economics, and Government, and 8th Grade American History. Mr. Sáenz began his teaching career in 2004, and this year marks his third year at St. Catherine Catholic School.
Mr. Sáenz’s teaching philosophy centers on immersing students in strong academic fundamentals, encouraging them to examine subjects and issues from multiple perspectives—especially the Catholic perspective of faith and reason grounded in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition—and then giving them the freedom to let their creativity and critical thinking flourish.
His personal passions include God, His Word, and the Holy Spirit, along with his family, writing, soccer, and chess. He also has a great love for good food, which he enjoys sharing with friends and family.
Mr. Sáenz’s personal guiding Scripture is:“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” — Psalm 119:105
His teaching Scriptures include: Genesis 1:26 – “God said, ‘Let us make man in our image and likeness, and let him have dominion over the whole earth….’” Luke 6:36 – “Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.” Luke 6:37 – A reminder of compassion, forgiveness, and understanding.
