Melanie Blake

Mrs. Blake serves as the 7th Grade Homeroom Teacher and Middle School English Language Arts Teacher at St. Catherine Catholic School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, and has been teaching since 2012. Before joining St. Catherine in 2021, she taught English as a Second Language at South Florida State College and also gained valuable teaching experience overseas.

A strong believer in the affective dimensions of learning, Mrs. Blake strives to help students become excited about their work, encourages collaboration, and provides opportunities for students to make meaningful choices in their learning. Her classroom environment emphasizes curiosity, engagement, and a sense of shared community.

Mrs. Blake and her family are grateful to be part of the St. Catherine community. She and her husband have two sons, both of whom attend St. Catherine Catholic School, and they enjoy being actively involved in school life together.
