Elizabeth Costa

Mrs. Elizabeth Costa serves as the 8th Grade Homeroom Teacher at St. Catherine Catholic School and teaches Math to students in grades 5 through 8, including 8th Grade Algebra and 8th Grade Religion. Born and raised in Miami, she moved to Sebring in October 2021. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and holds certifications in K–6 Elementary Education and Grades 5–9 Mathematics.

Mrs. Costa has been teaching in Catholic schools since 2019 and finds great joy in sharing both the Catholic faith and her love of mathematics with her students. Her teaching blends academic rigor with spiritual formation, helping students grow not only in knowledge but also in character and faith.

She and her husband have been married since 2007 and are blessed with two daughters, Catalina, a 6th grader, and Ava, a 5th grader. Family time is especially important to Mrs. Costa, and she enjoys traveling and making meaningful memories with her loved ones.

As an educator, Mrs. Costa strives to guide her students both academically and spiritually, living out the words of Scripture:“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
