Dixie Kreulen
1st Grade Teacher

Mrs. Dixie Kreulen serves as the First Grade Teacher at St. Catherine Catholic School and also contributes her leadership as the Student Council Director while supporting the PTO. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree with honors from Barry University, and she brings both experience and enthusiasm to her classroom each day.
Dixie is passionate about hands‑on learning. She believes students understand concepts more deeply when they can touch, explore, and see how things work. Her classroom is filled with movement, creativity, and joy—where dancing, crafts, laughter, and active learning are part of the daily rhythm. She loves teaching first grade, a place where she can build upon foundational skills while still nurturing curiosity and fun. Before joining St. Catherine in 2020, she served as a Preschool Director for seven years and taught Kindergarten for one year, experiences that strengthened her calling to early elementary education.
Outside of school, Dixie is married and the proud mother of two daughters—her oldest a student at Florida State University and her youngest still in high school. She is an enthusiastic Miami Dolphins fan and often brings her love of football into classroom conversations. She also enjoys spending time at the beach and relaxing with her favorite TV shows.
Her energy, creativity, and genuine love for her students make her classroom a vibrant place where learning truly comes alive.
