About Ms. Rebecca Lazo
Mr. Rebecca Lazo joined St. Catherine Catholic School in 2017. She has served as the Coordinator of Religious Education for both St. Catherine’s Catholic School and St. Catherine’s Parish. Before taking on this role, she volunteered for several years as a Catechist in the Religious Education Program. When Ms. Lazo first joined the school, it served students up to sixth grade. Today, the school educates students through eighth grade and has celebrated two graduating classes of eighth graders who have gone on to high school.
This school year, Ms. Lazo transitioned from her role as Coordinator of Religious Education to focus her full time and energy on classroom teaching. She currently teaches Religion to first, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, and she also prepares second graders for their First Holy Communion. Outside of her work at St. Catherine, Ms. Lazo is a proud mother of a high school–aged daughter.
