Vicknell Berrios

Music Teacher

Vicknell Berrios serves as the K–8th Grade Music Teacher, bringing a rich blend of expertise, passion, and spiritual purpose to her work. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and is certified in Music, Spanish, and Harp Therapy. In addition, she is a trained Suzuki Method teacher, reflecting her dedication to nurturing students through a gentle and disciplined approach to musical learning.

She teaches a diverse and vibrant music program that includes General Music, Handbells, Choir, Recorders, and Orchestra. With 36 years of experience as an international music teacher and conductor, Mrs. Berrios has devoted her life to sharing the joy of music across cultures and guiding students toward excellence.

Her teaching philosophy centers on a deeper mission: “Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens under God’s Will. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline, and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.” This belief shapes every lesson she teaches and every ensemble she leads.

Outside the classroom, Vicknell loves beginning her mornings in her garden, welcoming the new day while listening to the birds’ gentle songs and dedicating her day to the Lord. She also enjoys spending time in nature, reading a good book, and relaxing with soft jazz music.

Her guiding motto is: “Thru the Music by Love.”
